Jean’s Farm Forest Garden

Wildflower Outdoor Learning Center is a play-based preschool in Gladstone, OR, just outside of Portland. Partnering with this amazing school, we designed and maintained a vibrant vegetable, herb, and flower garden in the center of the schoolyard. Children are invited to join all garden projects, and learn new ways to experience the garden through our creative garden curriculum.

Building with cob, a combination of sand, clay, and straw, we created a natural built structure for the community to enjoy. The design includes a spiral play area with a giant chanterelle-shaped rain funnel that acts as a water catchment system. There is a tiled bench and a secret passageway in the back. This project was completed by our team and the Wildflower Community!
